Quick and Easy Guide to Joining Your Slack Community
Welcome to your new Slack workspace! This guide will walk you through the simple process of joining your paid community. The entire process takes just a few minutes and only requires two main steps.
Step 1: Complete Your Payment & Sign Up
Visit the Community's Signup Page
Click the unique invitation link provided by the community owner
Or go to the community's custom LaunchPass URL
Enter Your Information
Type in your email address (use the one where you want to receive the Slack invite)
Fill in any required community information
Double-check your email for accuracy
Complete Payment
Choose your preferred payment method
Enter your payment details securely
Click "Subscribe" or "Complete Payment"
Confirmation
You'll see a confirmation screen
Check your email for a payment receipt
Step 2: Accept Your Slack Invitation
Check Your Email
Look for an email from
[your-workspace].slack.comor[email protected]Subject line: "You've been invited to join [Workspace Name] on Slack"
Important: Check your spam/junk folder if you don't see it within 5 minutes
Join the Workspace
Click the "Join Now" button in the email
This will open Slack in your browser or prompt you to open the Slack app
Create Your Account (If New to Slack)
Choose a display name (can be changed later)
Create a password
Add a profile picture (optional but recommended)
Get Started
You'll be taken directly to the workspace
Explore the channels and introduce yourself!
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Didn't Receive the Invitation?
Check your spam/junk folder
Search your email for "slack.com" or the workspace name
Wait up to 10 minutes for the email to arrive
Contact the community owner through LaunchPass if you still don't see it
Invitation Link Expired?
Contact the community owner to send a new invite
Make sure to accept the invite within 7 days
Having Trouble Logging In?
Reset your Slack password if needed
Ensure you're using the same email that received the invitation
Try using Slack in a different web browser
