LaunchPass is a verified Stripe Partner. This means we team up with Stripe to handle all money matters for your group.

What Stripe does for you:

What this means:

  • You need a Stripe account to get paid

  • All money goes through Stripe first

  • Stripe's rules apply to your payments

  • You manage most money tasks in Stripe's dashboard

Think of it like this: LaunchPass builds your community house. Stripe is the mail carrier who delivers money to your mailbox.

How Much Does LaunchPass Cost?

LaunchPass Fees

You pay two types of fees:

1. Monthly Plan: $29

  • This gets you premium features

  • You need this to accept payments

  • Charged every month automatically

2. Transaction Fee: 3.5%

  • Charged on every payment you receive

  • If a member pays $100, you pay $3.50 to us

  • LaunchPass never charges more than 3.5%

  • This fee is fixed and predictable

Stripe also charges fees. These are separate from LaunchPass fees.

Stripe's standard fees:

  • 2.9% plus 30 cents per transaction

  • May vary based on payment type

When Do I Get Paid?

Your First Payout

Important: Your first payout takes 7 days.

This is a Stripe security rule. It protects you and your members. After your first payout, you can pick your own schedule.

Choosing Your Payout Schedule

You control when Stripe sends money to your bank.

Three schedule options:

Daily Payouts

  • Money sent every business day

  • Minimum payout: Usually $1

  • Best for: Active communities with daily sales

Weekly Payouts

  • Pick any weekday (Monday through Friday)

  • Money sent once per week

  • Best for: Most communities

Monthly Payouts

  • Pick any date (1st through 31st)

  • Money sent once per month

  • Best for: Smaller communities

How to Change Your Payout Schedule

Step 1: Log into Stripe

  • Go to dashboard.stripe.com

  • Use your Stripe login

Step 2: Find Settings

  • Click the gear icon on the left

  • This opens your settings menu

Step 3: Go to Bank Settings

  • Click "Bank accounts and scheduling"

  • This is under Business settings

Step 4: Pick Your Schedule

  • Click "Edit" next to current schedule

  • Choose: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly

  • Save your changes

Your new schedule starts in 1-2 business days.

Manual Payouts (Get Money Faster)

Need money right away? You can request a manual payout.

How to do it:

  1. Go to "Balance" in Stripe dashboard

How Do I Give Refunds to Members?

Giving refunds is easy through Stripe. You have full control.

Quick steps:

  1. Log into your Stripe dashboard

  2. Find the payment you want to refund

  3. Click the refund button

  4. Enter the refund amount

  5. Confirm the refund

Full refund

  • Give back all the money

  • Member paid $50, they get $50 back

Partial refund

  • Give back some of the money

  • Member paid $50, you refund $20

  • They keep access, get $20 back

What Happens After a Refund

For your member:

  • Money goes back to their card

  • Takes 5-10 business days

  • They see it as a credit

For you:

  • You don't get fees back

  • Stripe keeps their fee

  • LaunchPass keeps our fee

  • You lose the full amount

For your community:

  • Member may lose access

  • Depends on your settings

  • You can manually re-add them

How Do I Update My Bank Account?

When to Update Your Bank Account

You might need to update your bank info if:

  • You switched banks

  • Your account number changed

  • You want payments in a different account

  • Your bank closed your account

How to Update Bank Details

Step 1: Log into Stripe

  • Go to dashboard.stripe.com

  • Sign in with your account

Step 2: Go to Settings

  • Click "Bank accounts and scheduling"

  • Your current bank shows here

Step 4: Add or Change Bank

  • Stripe sends two small deposits

  • Check your bank for these amounts

  • Enter the amounts in Stripe

  • This proves you own the account

How Do I Create Discount Coupons?

What You Need First

Requirements for coupons:

  • A LaunchPass premium account ($29/month)

  • A connected Stripe account

  • Access to your Stripe dashboard

Note: Free LaunchPass accounts cannot use coupons. Upgrade to premium first.

Creating a Coupon in Stripe

Step 1: Log into Stripe

  • Go to dashboard.stripe.com

  • Make sure you're in the right account

Step 2: Find Coupons

  • Click "Products" in the menu

  • Then click "Coupons"

  • This shows all your coupons

Step 3: Make a New Coupon

  • Click the "+" or "New" button

  • This opens the coupon form

Step 4: Fill in Details

Coupon code:

  • Make it simple and clear

  • Example: WELCOME20

  • Example: SUMMER50

  • People type this at checkout

Discount amount:

  • Percentage off (like 20% off)

  • Fixed amount (like $10 off)

Duration:

After making coupons in Stripe, turn them on in LaunchPass.

LaunchPass doesn't always auto-remove members after refunds. This depends on your settings.
