The LaunchPass Role has to be at the top of your Roles lists. You can only manage people in Roles below you, so it is important this stays at the top - features and admin functions will not work otherwise.
The error is typically accompanied by the message, 'Fix your Discord permissions to publish a page,' indicating that the LaunchPass bot or roles are misconfigured in your Discord server. This could include problems like the LaunchPass role not being placed at the top of the roles hierarchy or missing administrator permissions.
If the LaunchPass Role is not at the top of your Roles list, you will see this in your LaunchPass dashboard.
Specifically, you may encounter a notification in the dashboard about insufficient permissions or misplacements of roles.
Here's how to fix this.
1. Head into your Discord Server and go to Server Settings
2. Select "Roles"
3. Make sure LaunchPass is at the top of your Roles list. If it's not, drag it up to the top.
4. Once you has saved changes, head back to your LaunchPass dashboard and refresh LaunchPass in your browser.
Ensure to also verify that the LaunchPass role is granted Administrator permissions within the 'Roles' settings for consistent functionality.
Address Deleted or Modified Roles
If you suspect that a role associated with your LaunchPass page (such as a subscription-created role) has been deleted or altered:
Identify the roles linked to your LaunchPass configuration.
If a critical role is missing or changed, delete the specific LaunchPass page on the dashboard and recreate it to refresh role associations.
Deleting a page does not impact active memberships, such as lifetime subscribers. This step is crucial to resolve errors arising from altered roles.
