Welcome message - Greet new members

Rules channel - Clear community guidelines

FAQ channel - Answer common questions

Announcement channel - Regular updates

Member Engagement

Automate with bots - Welcome message bots, etc.

Delegate moderation - Add moderators as you grow

Create team - Don't run community alone

Document processes - How things work

Plan for growth - What's your 1K member plan?

Troubleshooting

"Members Aren't Being Added to Discord"

Why this happens:

  • LaunchPass still processing payment

  • Discord role not set correctly

  • Permissions issue

  • Technical glitch

What to do:

  1. Wait 5 minutes - LaunchPass syncs, might just be delay

  2. Refresh Discord - F5 or Cmd+R

  3. Check member role - Is it set in LaunchPass?

  4. Verify in LaunchPass dashboard - Does member show as active?

  5. Check Discord permissions - Does role have channel access?

  6. If still stuck: Email [email protected] with:

    • Member email

    • Time they signed up

    • Any error messages

"Member Paid But Doesn't Have Access"

Check these things:

  1. Was payment successful? - Look in Stripe

  2. Is member active in LaunchPass? - Check dashboard

  3. Is member added to Discord? - Check server members list

  4. Do they have the role? - Check their roles

  5. Do roles have channel access? - Check permissions

If payment succeeded but no Discord access:

"How Do I Remove Someone From Discord?"

Manual removal:

  1. Go to your Discord server

  2. Right-click member name

  3. Select "Kick" or "Ban"

  4. Confirm

Automatic removal:

  • LaunchPass removes them when payment fails

  • After payment retries are exhausted

  • Takes about 5-10 minutes to process

If someone should be removed but isn't:

"I Want to Invite Someone For Free"

Options:

  1. Create free tier - Set price to $0

  2. Give free trial - Set trial period, no payment needed

  3. Manual Discord invite - Invite them to Discord separately (not through LaunchPass)

  4. Contact LaunchPass - We can create special codes/links for free access
