Quick Guide to Updating Your Discord Account
Need to switch which Discord account is connected to your LaunchPass subscription? Follow these simple steps to update your information and ensure uninterrupted access to your community.
Before You Begin
What You'll Need:
Access to both your current and new Discord accounts
Login credentials for your LaunchPass account
The email associated with your subscription
Important Notes:
This process won't affect your subscription status
You'll need to complete this in one sitting (takes about 5 minutes)
Your community access will transfer to the new Discord account immediately
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Log In to LaunchPass
Go to your LaunchPass Customer Portal
Enter your email, if you're not already signed in and accept that, otherwise continue to step 2.
Step 2: Update Discord Information
Click "Change" next to your username in the Discord Portal
Confirm you want to disconnect the current account
Step 4: Connect New Discord Account
Follow any prompts, you may need to click "Get Access" again from the portal
A new window will open - log in with your new Discord credentials
Authorize LaunchPass to access your Discord account
Wait for the confirmation message
Step 5: Verify the Change
Check that your new Discord username appears in the "Connected Account" section
Log out and back into Discord on all devices
You should now see the server in your new Discord account
Troubleshooting Common Issues
"I can't disconnect my current account"
Make sure you're logged into the correct LaunchPass account
Try using a different web browser
Clear your browser cache and cookies
"The new Discord account isn't working"
Double-check you're logged into the correct Discord account
Ensure the email on your Discord account is verified
Try disconnecting and reconnecting the account
"I'm being asked to pay again"
Don't complete the payment - this is a common error
Log out of both LaunchPass and Discord
Clear your browser cache and try again
Contact support if the issue persists
"I don't see the server in my new account"
Wait 5 minutes and refresh Discord
Log out and back into the Discord app
Check your email for a new invite (sometimes required)
