Creating a high converting page is all about proposing a compelling offer. And while that may sound easy, the difficulty is fitting into the many different values people have. As you continue to grow, use these steps as your backbone for your page. Implement, assess and re-evaluate how you use them regularly and you’ll be ahead of the game.

Know your community

Who are you targeting?

Get specific. “Everyone” is not a target. Getting into the nitty gritty of who would be interested in your community.

If you have members in your community, get to know them. The more you know, the more you can grow. Although there are different opinions, your members all share a similar interest.

Value Proposition & Purpose

What are you offering? What’s the purpose of your community?

A compelling offer should pull members.

Make sure you have a solid value proposition with a guiding purpose.

Identify the Why’s to joining

Why would someone want to join?

What do they have to gain from it?

Here you pull apart the features and benefits, things that will make joining a no-brainer.

Also, identify what might hold someone back from joining. Addressing objections early can help make the decision to join your community easier and increase conversions.

Social Proof & Community Culture

Highlight success in your community. Showcase some interactions with current active members.

People trust the actions of others. Get your current users to do the convincing.

Captivating Call to Action

Provide a call-to-action (CTA) that grabs immediate attention. If it makes sense to, provide a timeline to create some urgency.

Frame it as if it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. And that it would be a disservice to pass it up.

Be sure to re-assure. People like to be told that their choices were justified. Guide your visitors, and reassure them that this is the best choice they can make.
